Why Did God Raise Jesus Even While He Carried All Our Sin?
1. Jesus Bore Our Sin
Isaiah 53:6: “The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
2 Corinthians 5:21: “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us…”
👉 On the cross, Jesus carried all our sin, though He Himself was sinless.
2. Sin Could Not Hold Him
Acts 2:24: “God raised Him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.”
👉 If salvation rested on man’s righteousness, Jesus would remain in the grave.
But it rested on God’s promise and justice, so death had no power to keep Him.
3. God’s Justice and Promise
Romans 4:25: “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
- His death paid for sin ✅
- His resurrection proved God accepted the payment ⚡
- God’s oath and nature required Him to justify Jesus and raise Him 🔑
4. Resurrection = God’s Seal
1 Corinthians 15:17: “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.”
👉 The resurrection is God’s seal that salvation is finished, eternal, and cannot fail.
✨ Conclusion: God raised Jesus because His promise of salvation was based on Himself, not man.
Once the price was paid in full, it was impossible for death to keep Him. The resurrection is the unshakable proof that our salvation is eternal in Christ.
