Jesus is the visible part of God

🕊️ UNDERSTANDING THE TRINITY: FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT — AND WHO JESUS REALLY IS

Many people ask deep questions:

If Jesus is God, why did He pray?
Why is He called the Son — does that mean He’s not equal with God?
Who did people see in the Old Testament when God appeared?
Should we pray to Jesus or to the Father?
Who is the Holy Spirit, and how are they all one?
Let’s take this step by step, and by the end, even a 12-year-old will understand the mystery of the Trinity and the truth of Jesus Christ.

🔹 1. GOD IS ONE, BUT HE EXPRESSES HIMSELF IN THREE PERSONS

The Bible says:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” – Deuteronomy 6:4
“Go and make disciples… baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19
God is one being — but reveals Himself in three persons:

God the Father – the unseen source of all life and authority
God the Son (Jesus) – the visible image and Word of God
God the Holy Spirit – God’s presence and power living inside us
This is not three Gods. It is One God with three ways of being known, relating to us, and working in the world.

🔹 2. WHO IS JESUS?

Jesus is not just a good man, not an angel, and not a prophet.

The Bible says:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1
“And the Word became flesh and lived among us.” – John 1:14
That “Word” is Jesus. He is the eternal God who became a human.

“In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” – Colossians 2:9
“He is the image of the invisible God.” – Colossians 1:15
“Before Abraham was, I AM.” – John 8:58
He is called the Son of God, not because He was born or created like humans, but because He is the visible expression of the invisible Father.

Hebrews 1:3 says:

“He is the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person.”
That means Jesus is what you would see if God became visible — because that’s exactly who He is!

🔹 3. WHY DID JESUS PRAY IF HE IS GOD?

When Jesus came to earth, He became fully human (Philippians 2:6–8). He:

Was born as a baby
Got hungry, tired, and tempted
Cried, laughed, and felt pain
As a man, He prayed to the Father to show us how to live humbly, how to depend on God, and how to love and obey. He wasn’t praying to Himself — He was showing us how a Son obeys the Father, even though He was still equal with God (John 10:30).

🔹 4. JESUS HAS BEEN APPEARING EVEN BEFORE HE WAS BORN

Jesus didn’t start in Bethlehem — He always existed.

In the Old Testament, when people saw God with their eyes, they were seeing Jesus in His heavenly form (called Christophanies — appearances of Christ before He became human).

Examples:

Abraham saw three men, and one was the Lord (Genesis 18)
Moses saw a burning bush that spoke as God (Exodus 3)
Joshua met the “Commander of the Lord’s army” (Joshua 5:13–15)
Isaiah saw the Lord on His throne (Isaiah 6:1), and John 12:41 says it was Jesus
No one has ever seen God the Father (John 1:18). So when people saw “the Lord” with their eyes — it was the Son, Jesus, showing up before His birth.

🔹 5. HOW SHOULD WE PRAY?

Jesus taught us:

“Pray like this: Our Father in heaven…” – Matthew 6:9
But He also said:

“If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” – John 14:13
So we can:

Pray to the Father, in the name of Jesus
Or pray directly to Jesus, as Lord and Savior
And we pray by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:26)
You’re not wrong to say “Jesus, help me.” That’s God you’re calling.

🔹 6. WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

The Holy Spirit is not a separate being or a force — He is God’s Spirit, living inside believers.

Jesus said:

“The Father will send you another Helper, the Holy Spirit… He will live in you and teach you.” – John 14:16–17, 26
The Holy Spirit:

Convicts us of sin
Helps us understand Scripture
Gives us power to pray, witness, and live holy
Reminds us of Jesus’ words
🔹 7. WHY IS HE CALLED THE “SON”?

In Bible language, the word “Son” doesn’t mean someone born later. It means someone who:

Carries the same nature
Has the same authority
Is a visible representative of the Father
So when Jesus is called the Son of God, it means:

“He comes from God, reveals God, and is equal with God.”
Even the Jews understood this and said:

“He called God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.” – John 5:18
🔹 🔹 Summary – Simple Enough for a 12-Year-Old

Truth Meaning
God is One But reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Spirit
Jesus is the Son The visible part of God — not created, but eternal
Jesus prayed As a man, to show us how to obey and walk with God
Jesus appeared before birth He met Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and others
Jesus is God Not less than the Father — He is the fullness of God
How to pray To the Father, in Jesus’ name, by the Spirit
🔥 Final Word:

Jesus is not just from God — He IS God.
He is the face of God, the voice of God, and the love of God revealed to us.

When you call on Jesus, you’re not talking to “someone else” —
You’re speaking to the same God who created the universe and now lives in you.

So trust Him. Talk to Him. Follow Him.
Because knowing Jesus is knowing the only true God (John 17:3).
