Why we need to be believe in Jesus

Why the Bible Says You Must Believe in Jesus to Have Everlasting Life

In Old Testament after God gave the laws. We can’t say anyone didn’t keep the laws

Yet God said all of them plus foreigner , must humble themselves offer that sacrifice yearly
And is forever status…
Teaching the Christ.

Leviticus 16:29-34 (NKJV):
“This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all… For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you; you shall be clean before the LORD from all your sins.”

Teaching the Christ.luke 18:9-14

Imagine some bunch of niggies like priest saying nooooo. I’m holy. we will enter God presence by our works. Like Act 15:1, Act 15:5 like the Pharisee said.

The Law Demanded Universal Humility

Leviticus 16:29–34 (NKJV) “This shall be a statute forever for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls (humble yourselves), and do no work at all… For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you; you shall be clean before the Lord from all your sins.”

The Pride of Self-Righteousness (Rejected by Christ)

The New Testament records those who tried to mix human effort (Law) with divine grace:

Acts 15:1 “And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, ‘Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.’” 🔹 Meaning: Some Jewish believers were teaching that Gentile (non-Jewish) converts had to obey the Law of Moses — especially circumcision — to be saved. This caused conflict in the early church because it mixed law and grace.

Acts 15:5 “But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, ‘It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.’” 🔹 Meaning: Even some Pharisees who had believed in Jesus still thought salvation required keeping the law — not realizing that Jesus’ sacrifice had fulfilled the law completely.

Like many Christian and priest who preach. Thou shall not lie, and Thou shall not. Must keep all the laws of Moses.

But Remember only Jesus commandments is this.
John 15:12–13 “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

And fulfill all the laws for you.

Matthew 5:17–18 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill… till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”

He loved you… meaning he loved you regardedless you love other, is not conditional. Is unconditional. And he forgiven you all sins after he died and resurrected.

Luke 24:46–47 (NKJV)
Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”

Matthew 26:28
“For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
*“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, *even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Acts 13:38–39 (NKJV)
“Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;
and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

2. The Danger of God’s Presence: The Need for Atonement
If you enter God you will die without blood sacrifices. Touch God ark. You will die.

The Penalty and the Substitute

Why the blood? Wage of sins is death. A soul that sins must died.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who is a sinner? A sinner is a flesh without blood paying for his sins and who deserve death by justice and who didn’t bring an animal to take his death and come to God presence or touch God presence.
Romans 8:8
“Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

📖 Romans 7:18
“For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh.”

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

The Old Covenant Precaution

The Old Covenant required blood covering even for the holiest man (Aaron) to enter God’s presence:

Leviticus 16:2 …the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Most Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.”

Leviticus 16:3 Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

2 Samuel 6:6–7 (A clear example of the danger of touching the Ark) And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.

3. The Perfection of Christ: The Eternal Forgiveness
So animal took our death in Old Testament. But it was never enough. It was like going to God most holy presence(Heaven on Earth)by blood to avoid judgement of sins to died and coming back.

Hebrews 10:4 🔄 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

After A long. God still saw their sins. Is like being in a heaven and for a while. Your sins appear before God eye agains in your spirit.

Animal sacrifice was not enough justice for a sin of a man. Is why they offer animals sacrifice yearly. Like those who go to idol to offer sacrifice to cover their sins in spirit before they do their evil. They always renew it. Because sacrifice is never enough to cover them for their sins completely. That is how animals sacrifice only cover sins but doesn’t separate it from us and the blood fade away with time in spirit.

Jesus’ One Commandment and Full Fulfillment

Remember Jesus gave us one commandment alone. Love as I have love you, forgive as I have forgiven you…

The Eternal Redemption

But Jesus blood:

Matthew 26:28 “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

All Sins Forgiven

He have forgiven you all your sins already regardless you choose to forgive or not. He have forgiven you. And by how he died for you.

Colossians 2:13–14 (NKJV) “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Forgiven All. Mark it.

Back to the priest and Pharisees. Pride believing they are holy to enter God most holy place. A symbol of heaven on earth.

Believing in Jesus is not just believing but accepting and humble yourself that only blood of Jesus give you permission to enter God presence and holy place.

Is accepting you can never live to God standard in your flesh but believe in Jesus blood. but Jesus fulfill it for you.

Matthew 5:17–18 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill… till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.”
Like the Old Testament. They take a live goat and place their hand on the goat confess all their sins
📖 Leviticus 16:20–22 (NKJV)
“And when he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place, the tabernacle of meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat.
Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man.
The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an uninhabited land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.”
Jesus became the two sacrificial lamb for us.

Hebrews 10:19 “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus.”
Isaiah 53:6
“The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Just as the priest laid sins on the goat, God laid all our sins on Jesus.

John 1:29
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Hebrews 10:10 (NKJV)
“By that will we have been sanctified (made holy) through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”

1 Corinthians 6:17 (NKJV)
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”

Accepting Jesus sacrifice only blood we have to enter God presence in everlasting life

The Consequence: No Other Way Remains

Because Jesus’s sacrifice is the complete and final payment, there is no plan B. God will not offer another way to satisfy the debt.

Everlasting Life: When you believe in Jesus, you pass from the sentence of death to everlasting life (John 3:16) because your sin debt is paid in full. You are declared clean in God’s sight.

The Danger of Rejection: The New Testament (in Hebrews 10:26-29) warns that if a person fully understands that Jesus is the only way, yet deliberately and contemptuously rejects that gift, there is nothing left to save them. Anyone who rejects Christ has, by that action, rejected the only sacrifice that can truly cleanse them and grant them entrance to God’s eternal Kingdom.

In summary: God is holy, humans are sinful, and sin requires death. Jesus died to satisfy that requirement perfectly and eternally. To believe is to accept that perfect payment, which grants immediate, everlasting life. To reject Him is to knowingly choose to face the death penalty with no covering left.
