not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law

“…not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.”
Here’s the key difference:
Living under your own righteousness: Philippians 3:9

You think “God is pleased with me today because I didn’t lie” or “God is upset with me today because I lied.”
→ This makes your standing with God rise and fall on your performance, like Israel under the law.

Living under Christ’s righteousness:
You think “God is pleased with me always because I am in Christ, whose blood has made me righteous forever. Even if I fail, And you do many sins. You don’t even know
but my standing with Him doesn’t change — it’s based on Jesus, not me.”
→ This is the gospel: righteousness given as a gift, not earned.

This mean either you lie or don’t lie it doesn’t change anything with God. In Christ blood cover you.

Is like saying you break sabbath day Saturday and yet miracle still happen on Sunday.
